Superior Spider-Man vs Number Six
"I prefer a real villain to a false hero."-Killer Mike
Doctor Otto Octavius: Marvel's Superior Spider-man
Number Six: My Hero Academia's second O'Clock
Heroes inspire people from around the world, even the grimy villains of society can take something from the people who intend to save it. Yet the thought must cross your mind, if I had those abilities, I could do it better, I wouldn't make the mistakes they have, and could use their abilities in ways they'd never imagined: I could be greater. That's exactly how these two felt, raised in crime, they eventually got the heroes powers to prove they can be better. While maybe they can be better than the original, can they be better than their opponent? Let's find out in a DEATHBATTLE....blog.
Before We Begin...
This is specifically Otto, during his time as Superior Spider-Man, so we won't give him any equipment we don't for sure know he had during his time as Spidey. We will scale him to anything Spider-Man could do physically, and he'll of course still have intelligence feats from his old form, as he still retained his mind in Peter's body.
Background
Superior Spider-Man
"Farewell, Peter Parker. Know this, I will carry on in your name. You may be leaving this world, but you are not leaving it to a villain. I swear."
Doctor Otto Octavius, one of Spider-Man's longest running foes, was dying, but he had a last ditch effort to keep himself alive. He swapped his mind with Peter Parker, aka Spider-man. But despite the circumstances, Peter's memories did persist, and Otto learned something, he learned truly what it means for great power to have great responsibilities. Otto decided to honor Peter's legacy, but now to be better, be superior. Otto was brutal, but effective, he helped with countless threats on his Earth and others, and completely removed Peter from his mind. But eventually Peter's mind came back to push Otto to save a girl, despite the potential threat to himself, and Otto realized no matter what he really isn't the Superior Spider-Man, giving up his body back to Peter, at the cost of his own life.
Number Six
"Number 6... is this how you envision your ideal world? Is this your concept of a true hero?
Very well. Is this the conclusion that you've reached?"
Suffering from a major case of agnosia, the nameless child Number Six once was had no sense of his own identity. Upon being taken in by Doctor Garaki and All For One, Garaki deemed him unfit for society, and useless as a pupil due to his condition, but All For One disagreed. All For One believed that he'd be perfectly malleable enough to be twisted into whatever shape he saw fit. Number Six was shown videos, and was given the choice between which Hero and Quirk he wished to imitate, and upon seeing O'Clock in action, Number Six made his pick, choosing O'Clock as his idol. Number Six spent all his life aiming to surpass O'Clock, to do what he did better than he ever could, going through many missions in a bid for this achievement. Throughout the story, Number Six pursues O'Clock and Crawler relentlessly, with it coming to a peak near the end. In a final explosion, Number Six fails to recall any of his real memories, but instead settled for the substitute of one of his false identities, and accepted his death with those ending thoughts.
Experience/Skill
Superior Spider-Man
Otto is a genius, he's been fighting Spider-Man since Peter was 15, and has fought up until he was in his thirties, he was able to easily adapt to Spider-Man's body, being able to take down foes far faster and stronger than him with his ingenuity. He's made countless impressive inventions, ranging from his iconic tentacles to portals into alternate dimensions, and many more. He's even outsmarted the group Intelligencia, which is host to some of Marvel's smartest villains, including Doctor Doom, the Leader, and MODOK. As Superior Spider-Man, he was able to counter and defeat the Sinister Six as well as the Superior Foes of Spider-Man with his smarts.
Number Six
Despite his instability, Number Six has been shown to have a high intellect, such as when he discerned Crawler's identity, and adapted to match, and later mimic his fighting style. He's also a master of espionage, easily disguising himself as others through his Quirk, and managed to create an elaborate scheme to cause the collapse of the Tokyo Sky Egg. If he ever needs any assistance, he also has the aid of All For One's vestige implanted in him, who's been consistently shown to be a mastermind in the series.
Equipment
Superior Spider-man
Spider Arms
Similar to Otto's previous tentacles, these allow for Otto to have many more appendages to fight with, and have their variety of features, such as phasing people out of reality, shoot beams that reverse the flow of energy, some versions can disrupt ionic fields, and produce nerve gas
Superior Spider-Man Suit
With his genius, Otto upgraded the traditional Spider-Man suit in more ways than a new color scheme. It has talons able to to cut through Spidey's Rogues, and inject them with Spider Tracers that can explode, lenses that let him see invisible people, if someone is infected with viruses, he see if people are mutated, and even their speed. The suit has the capabilities to neutralize threats with ease, such as dampeners that negate electric foes, or negating people's powers and technology, and to shut down movement, he can generate an instant frictionless surfaces. One of his costumes in particular is made of unstable molecules, has an EMP generator, sonic blasters, ink dispenser, protection from hypnotism, burns off foreign substances, and transfers to new a body upon death, and can disrupt energy, even disabling or copying magic.
Webbing
Webbing is an important part of any Spider-Man's identity. Otto's webs can block pumpkin bombs, make air bags, form web nets, and his new webs are even stronger, carrying different variations, such as impact, sound, and fire.
Spider Bots
Otto has a collection eight thousand of these arachnid devices in total, and they have a host of functions. They can hack into advanced contraption, such as the Helicarriar, they can generate forcefields, and can tase people for good measure.
Through control chips, Otto can mind control people, including the Sinister Six, who he can use to assist him in his endeavors.
Power Absorber
Copied off of Doctor Doom, the device steals powers and gives them to the user, working on foes up to as strong as cosmic entities like Galactus
Aim's Q Field Generator
Stolen off of Aim, and repurposed by Otto, this invention allows him to completely dissipate an electric field.
Spider Army
Otto's own personal militia, filled with giant mechs and armored goons with, armed with webbing, flamethrowers, and other combat functions.
Etc.
Several of Otto's tech doesn't have names or aren't as notable as others, with some examples being: a device that increases the mass of objects, a device specifically to beat Morbius, dimensional portals, removal of disease, and has multiple ways to detect things, even the supernatural.
Number Six
Mass produced from the Villain Factory, these weird little miscreants come in a variety of shapes and sizes, from multi armed, to EMP, to cluster, all of them are also used as suicide bombers
Anonymous
Artificially created beings who function on a hivemind, all of which can be controlled and synchronized by Number Six. Despite their humanoid physique, they are far more durable than an average person, and are able to emit EMPs that disrupt electronics. Their specially tailored Quirk is Self-Detonation, which allows them to blow themselves up enmass to defeat an opponent.
Abilities
Superior Spider-Man
Spider Sense
Having a Spider person's body gives Otto a Spider Sense, able to warn him of any upcoming trouble, from missile attacks to corporate betrayals, people teleporting, tells him if an idea is good or bad, can sense disturbances through time-space itself, lets him predict possible outcomes, slow down one's perception, and it can automatically activate his reflexes to dodge oncoming danger, even if the attack is invisible. It ultimately stems from the Web of Life and Destiny, which is essentially a representation of fate and the Marvel multiverse as a whole.
Body Modification
Being completely amorphous, Six can change his body into practically anything, such as as a sniper rifle, shoot bullets from his hand, become a collection of explosives, or a more liquified shape to evade attacks, he can also change his physiology directly in order to adapt to opponents, such as nullifying his own wind resistance to match Crawler. It's also a handy tool for disguise, being able to completely change his appearance to whichever person he'd like.
Overclock
Taken from the hero he wished to surpass, Number Six was granted Overclock from All For One. Overclock allows the user to gain an immense speed boost, viewing previously equal foes in slow motion, with the amplification multiplier going up to 24 times their regular speed. Movement isn't the only boost, as Overclock also gives enhanced perception, making the subconscious tells of any given person more blatant to the user. Due to it carrying a vestige of All For One, it also bares his consciousness, taking the form of a prime O'Clock, it will give Six guidance when needed.
Bombifiy and Self Detonation
By altering his cells, Number Six made the skill of Bombify, which lets the user to grow bombs out of their own body parts, and Self Detonation allows them to explode said pieces, drastically enhancing the destructive force of an attack. In case he needs more firepower, Six can merge his Bomber cells with that of the Anonymous, and achieve new heights.
Radio waves
By sending out electromagnetic waves, the user can create EMPs capable of jamming technogy, and leaving it dysfunctional. Number Six can pair this power with the EMPs emitted by his platoon of Anonymous to create a far stronger effect.
Regeneration
Through the modification of his cells, Number Six can reform his own body, and can speed it up with Overclock. This regeneration is potent enough to grow back limbs and return from a pseudo-liquid state. Nothing short of destroying his head would put him down, as he says himself.
Lightning Style
By overloading his Bomber cells, Six can turn his body into a fusion of flesh and combusted plasma. This makes him almost entirely intangible outside of his head, and lets him create a large amount of homing electrical missiles, made out of the same plasma.
Destruction Style
After merging with many Anonymous, Six achieved this final state. Being almost fully made out of the combustible plasma, he can't be permanently damaged in any place aside from his still tangible skull. This energy-based malleability allows for the creation of smaller, self-destructive plasma duplicates. The Destruction Style makes him gigantic, and is large enough to knock over buildings easily.

Superior Spider-man
To put it short, Otto is a massive egotist. He's undeniably smart, and certainly strong as Spider-Man, but his spider body does make him feel more invincible. He'll pick fights with the groups like the Avengers, people way stronger than he'll ever be, no matter the body. And while very difficult, he's not impossible to outsmart, as people like Doctor Strange or Peter have been able to get one up on him in the past.
Number 6
His Overclock ability suffers from a ten second cool down after it's used, although he's had changes to his body to help mitigate this. But more pressingly is that his Destruction Style requires fusion with the Anonymous, and has a limited time limit, before it will eventually kill him, and also renders his exposed skeleton as a weakpoint on his body. In pressing situations, he'll also ignore All For One's advice at points, which certainly weakens his strategy.
Verdict
Stats
Beginning with strength, Spidey, while holding back, can fight Electro, who's power could amplify the Quantum Particle Engine, which would destroy New York, getting up to 316.5 megatons. Other street tiers also have powerful feats in their own right, such as Otto's old arms surviving a warhead, or Carnage taking the Gene Bomb, potentially clocking in at 1.8 gigatons of force. Otto is even stronger than that, due to not holding, back further training, and his tech, to the point someone once on even footing with him got his jaw punched off with ease. Now Six is certainly impressive too, as he is superior to early UA students, such as Bakugo's 113.17 tons of TNT explosions, or Todoroki creating a glacier, calculated at 10.94 Megatons. Despite how powerful Six is, the heights of Street Tiers blow him out of the water, making him roughly at least thirty times weaker than Otto.
Now, speed-wise it's a tad more interesting. For Otto, he should be notably faster than Daredevil, who can react in a nanosecond, and Peter in his own body can dodge lasers, getting up to 9.3 times the speed of light. In comparison, base Six significantly slower, as his best scaling avenue is Aizawa fighting a laser-timer, getting to only 0.73c. But one skill can level the playing field, as with Overclock he's twenty four times faster than normal. At his best, twenty four times 0.73c gets around 17.52c, which is almost double Otto's best, right? Welllll, kinda, we've only really seen Six match people on Aizawa's level using some form of Overclock, assuming the minimum of a three time amplifier, that's only about 5.90c, which is still slower. Well let's assume we've missed or mistaken something, and he is actually two times faster, how useful is that? Well, Speed Demon is faster than Spider-Man's Spider Sense, which works so fast it can react to speed-formula breaking Heralds, and has previously been able to one shot Spidey, but Otto could take him on, and walked his barrage of punches off. So even with an arguable speed advantage, Six isn't doing much to close the gap made by stats, but maybe he could use it with....
Abilities/Equipment
So Six does have a plethora of good abilities, which let him survive against stronger opponents, such as his amorphous body, which means that unless Otto knows where to aim, his vastly stronger attacks won't put him down, coupled with his regeneration, but that's where the praises end. Otto can counter the Lightning and Destructive Styles with his technology, which was used to to stop Electro, and equipment to disrupt energies, which means Otto could potentially neutralize Six's entire body structure when using the right equipment. The plasma missiles are ineffective as well, as even if they land, Spider-Man's body could take electricity from Doom, that reached up to 10,000 watts. His many bombs and weaponry can be blocked, with bomb proof webs that take far stronger explosions, and Otto's tech can match EMPs. Meanwhile, Otto can phase Six out of reality, which gets past the amorphous body problem entirely, and Spider Sense means that if he can dodge something, he'll evade it, and will know exactly what ideas will be successful, moving his body instinctually to match, ultimately being a far more reliable tool than Overclock's ability to show certain tells. Dampening or absorbing Six's powers such as Overclock would deny Six the advantage, making Otto solidly faster, and the Spider Army should be able to take out the Anonymous and Bombers, though the self destruct capabilities may provide some annoyance. Adaptation is a similarly null point, as Otto's equipment is too alien or potent for Six to quickly counter. Even if Six can kill Otto the first time, he already has a supply of clones that will take up the work in case he dies, making him essentially unkillable.
Tertiary Factors
Now Six isn't dumb by any means, but Otto is a goddamn super-genius. He's outsmarted the Intellectica, has made devices that are far above any real world capabilities, and has outsmarted Mysterio, who can make illusions able to bypass Spider Sense, and is a master planner. Spider Sense will also act as an automatic safety cushion for any mistakes. As for Six, while All For One is definitely a genius too, but not on the level of Otto, and Six will ignore the Vestige if a scenario gets tense enough, making him an unreliable asset to seal a victory.
Conclusion
Superior Spider-man
"I see everything in this city! Everything! That is my power! And my responsibility -- to watch over and judge you all!"
Advantages:
- More intelligent
- Stronger by a significant degree
- Definitely faster than base, potentially faster than a full Overclock
- Has a counter to many of Six's abillities
- Greater number of grunts
- Spider Sense as a whole
- Best ass in the Marvel Universe
Disadvantages:
- Potentially slower
- Amorphous body means he isn't sure to kill with hands alone
Number Six
"Garbage like you... who ruins people's dreams... I'll make sure you get what's coming to you!"
Advantages:
- Potentially faster with maximum Overclock
- Amorphous body and regeneration lets him take some hits
- Destruction Style makes almost all of his body unable to be damaged physically
Disadvantages:
- Notably weaker and less durable
- Otto can deal with faster opponents
- His plasma body can be dissipated by certain technology
- Plasma missiles are resisted
- Powers can be nullified or stolen
- Slower in base, and potentially with Overclock
- All For One is not as dependable resource as Spider Sense
Overall Number 6 was absolutely powerful, and potentially even had a speed edge over him, but Otto had many options to finally to put him down and take the victory. In a way, Six was sort of a Spidey's greatest hits album, having the amorphous body of Sandman, the elements of Electro, the acceleration of Speed Demon, and the explosives of Green Goblin, with Otto having the resources he'd need to shut such a foe down. All in all, as sinister as Six was, Otto can be our hero, leaving the winner as...
